Lately, though, we've been giving you the chance to have YOUR say, too. Basically, we've been giving you the opportunity to tell us your favourite game from a shortlist of the week's best releases.
This week's votes have been counted (and recounted), and we have a winner: Dungelot.
Dungelot, for those of you who're yet to play this Bronze Award-winning title, is an interesting little roguelike in which you're tasked with escaping from a range of?dark and dangerous dungeons.
Every time you enter a dungeon, you're presented with a 6x5 grid of tiles, which house enemies, treasures, and fiendish traps.
Unfortunately, these hazards and rewards are initially obscured from view, and only become visible once you've tapped on their corresponding tile.
It's a fools' game
Dungelot is packed full of risk versus reward situations, then, and blindly tapping on every tile in sight will only make your inevitable death come quicker.
Still, you can use the loot you've collected from previous adventures to boost the game's multiple character classes, and increase your chances of making it deeper into one of the game's crypts.
Fancy a go? You can grab Dungelot from the App Store as a Universal app for ?1.49 / $1.99 [buy], and from Google Play for 62p [buy].
